The history of Chäs Vreneli is already over a hundred years old. The busy Chäs Vreneli in its Wehntaler costume started with a cheese and butter store somewhere in Zurich and from 1932 the store was allowed to make the customers happy with cheese and butter of all provenances and in the most cultivated form on the historical Münsterhof.

Many decades went by, many customers came in and out of the store and were advised professionally and with the greatest love for the product. What was once right has become obsolete over the years and with the social change and urban development, the Chäs Vreneli cheese store had to close its doors in 2019 with a heavy heart.  
Chäs Vreneli AG had to say goodbye to its specialty store, but the business continued in a different form. For even in the years before the closure, an idea was eagerly being worked on as to how cheese in its best form and quality could also be sent out into the wide world. The store owner's valuable friendships with influential people in the airline business have borne fruit. Thanks to innovation, professionalism and openness to new lines of business, it is now possible to enjoy the best cheese even on the way to the next vacation destination.
Today, Chäs Vreneli AG is a modern enterprise. Although it has abandoned the old ways, it continues to carry on the history and spirit of its founding fathers with all due respect.
